A LAN world is a fun way to play a world with friends without having to own a server.
there are a few steps to set it up:
1)To host a LAN world you must be on the same internet as everyone else you want to play on it.
2)simply press the esc key on your keyboard
3)select open to lan as shown.
4)select the gamemode (survival/creative/adventure) then cheats (on/off) as shown.
5) Then just click start lan world
6)then ask your friends to find the lan world on multiplayer
